The Decca audition version by The Beatles is the original, but the first released version was by The Fourmost. There was an older version cut by Gerry & The Pacemakers, but that wasn't released until the early nineties. In October '57 another Hello Little Girl came out in America, by Lloyd Price on KRC, with "I wanna hold your hand" in the lyrics!
