Artist: Shirelles
Author: Burt Bacharach/Barney Williams/Mack David

Scepter's first success story. They were all school friends of label boss Florence Greenberg's daughter. Coauthor is not Hal David (Burt Bacharach's normal writing partner) but his older brother Mack David, who mostly wrote for Hollywood and Disney (Cinderella). Mack was Burt & Hal's go-between. You can hear Bacharach on electric keyboards and vocals here; he's the only male voice sha-la-la-ing. Coauthor Barney Williams is an alias for Luther Dixon, who produced this track.
Covers:
Sylvie Vartan [as Baby c'est vous]
Burt Blanca [idem]
Beatles [one out of two Shirelles songs on their debut album]
Smith [top 5 US and in Tarantino film Death Proof]
