Gustav Holst (1874-1934) wrote Eight Variations for Harp on Will You Come To The Bower. The tune was heard by a piper at the Battle of San Jacinto (1836) between Texas and Maxico, whereby Irishmen were engaged at both sides and thus against each other! On the Mexican side because of roman catholicism and similar colours in the flag, on the US side just to fill the first and deadliest ranks.
