Artist: Shirelles
Author: Gerry Goffin/Carole King
Label: Pricewise
Year: 1964
Probably even older, rejected at the time. Released on their album Swing The Most ('65) on Pricewise, a mid-price Scepter/Wand sublabel and re-issued on Ace collection Lost And Found ('95). Stan Greenberg, son of Scepter boss Florence Greenberg, found it when glamourous model Maxine Brown needed a good song. Maxine's voice was added to the Shirelles track, with Dee Dee Warwick on second voice.
Covers:
Maxine Brown [first released version (Wand)]
Claude Righi [as Oh non rien n'est vrai]
Carole King [coauthor]
