Vocal group from Harlem. Speedoo was their lead singer Earl Carroll's nickname, soon leaving for the Coasters. They cut a Speedoo's Back In Town. Melodically related with Got The Water Boiling (And I'm Gonna Cook Your Goose) by The Regals on Atlantic earlier that year, admits Earl 'Speedoo' Carroll.

Ann Cole adopted the "Buzz buzz a-diddle-it" chorus in I've Got Nothing Working Now (But My Real Old Fashioned Love) in '57 and in fact so did Freddy Cannon in '61 in his Buzz Buzz A-Diddle-It (see there).
