Artist: Arthur Crudup
Author: Arthur Crudup
Label: RCA Victor
Year: 1950
Covers:
Elvis Presley [same intro, label and producer (Steve Sholes) as the original; using four lines from Crudup's You Know That I Love You]
Al Runyan [early Elvis impersonation on Gateway]
John Lennon [as Since My Baby Left Me]
Danny Gatton [in medley with Mystery Train and That's All Right]
Presley also cut Arthur's That's All Right and So Glad You're Mine. Crudup used the same melody on other songs (Keep On Drinking). Some claim he only had two tunes, a slow one and a fast one. Different words sets them apart.
