Artist: Big Joe Turner

Kansas City meets New Orleans on a New York label. Recorded in New Orleans with Pluma Davis' band. Credited to Big Joe's wife Lou Willie Brown, regular trick to bypass the taxman, but a problem when it ends up in a divorce.
Covers:
Christian's Crusaders [with Jimmy Page]
Paul McCartney [in a Johnny Burnette way]
The refrain at the end of Big Joe's Honey Hush echoes Hi Yo Silver's, a song first recorded by Harold Burrage with the Horace Henderson orchestra for Decca in 1950 and covered by Roy Brown ('50), The Treniers ('52) and Bennie Green ('55). "Hi yo Silver away" was the Lone Ranger's standard yell to his horse.
