With Walter Rogers (cornet). Roud #13392. Broadside ballad (1875). Tara was the mythical top in Co. Meath where the Irigh High Kings lived since days before Saint Patrick til the death of High King Brian Boru in the Battle of Clontarf (1014). Under British Rule, the harp symbolised the Irish spirit for independence, kept alive by Moore's poem.
