Benny Gallagher & Graham Lyle were contacted by Paul McCartney to join the Apple team in '68, where they did write a few songs for Mary Hopkin. In '71 they joined McGuinness-Flint (pre Blues Band) and wrote When I'm Dead And Gone, their biggest hit (see also: Heart On My Sleeve). From '84 on, Graham cowrote some Tina Turner hits (with Terry Britten): What's Love Got To Do With It and Typical Male.
