On Canadian lp Honey, Wheat & Laughter. In his 1961 version of Water Boy, pianist Don Shirley makes a clear shift after 1'40" to the melody line of Put Your Hand In The Hand. As the B-side of Cadence single Freedom (I'm On My Way), Don Shirley's Water Boy became a top 40 US, so McLellan might have known it and might even have thought it belongs to the public domain.
