Artist: Sweet Inspirations
Author: Dan Penn/Spooner Oldham
Label: Atlantic
Year: 1967

Hit R&B. Recorded in the American Studio in Memphis using a similar rhythm pattern as in Suspicious Minds, cut by the same studio crew on Elvis. Produced by Dan Penn while chief producer Tom Dowd took a break. Dan & Spooner Oldham were summoned to come up with something better than the songs Atlantic had sorted out for the girls. Spooner suggested: "What's wrong with Sweet Inspiration?" The whole thing was written and recorded in a nick of time.
