Chez Paree was a tiny Kansas City label. Recut it for National in '45. Later this blues singer moved to Memphis to become Mr. Beale Street and one of the first DJ's at WDIA. During a show in Chicago, out of the blue, he switched from blues to gospel never to look back again. Became a reverend in Yazoo City, MS and kept that office for more than half a century.
