Cliff Richard & The Drifters [B-side of Move It, his first hit (see footnote)]

Engineer Norrie Paramor came up with this cover of an American hit for Cliff's first recording session. Richard preferred to cut an own composition Move It, written by his guitarist Ian Samwell. That wasn't done in those almighty Tin Pan Alley ruling days. So Paramor sticked to the rules and spent most of the (Abbey Road) session time on Schoolboy Crush. What was left was used for the B-side with engineer Malcolm Addey (a cross between Sam Phillips and George Martin). To be considered as the first British rock 'n roll song. At first Paramor missed the point, but then he asked for his teenage daughters' advise and they luckily convinced him to flip the sides over.
