In French revue Paris qui Jazz at the Casino de Paris. Inspired by Francis Casco's play Mon Homme. Mist who counted Maurice Chevalier as her 'homme', first declined the song, objecting against the realism in the lyrics. Melody was based on another melodramatic Mon homme from 1910 (Rosario/Marietti), sung by Eugénie Buffet.
