The same night he also wrote Bonnie And Clyde. Brigitte Bardot, freshly married with Gunter Sachs, asked Serge not to release it. Serge being a gentleman kept this version locked until far in the eighties. Title inspired by Salvador Dali's remark: "Picasso est Espagnol, moi aussi; Picasso est un génie, moi aussi; Picasso est communiste, moi non plus."

The melody was written for Edouard Luntz's film Les Coeurs Verts and copyrighted with SACEM in '64. It also clearly appears in a nightclub scene in Jacques Pointrenaud film Carré de Dames pour un As, starring Roger Hanin, Catherine Allégret and Serge Gainsbourg ('66).
