The Crow (or The Flying Crow) was the name of a train linking Port Arthur to Kansas City over Shreveport and Texarkana. Inspired other recordings: Eddie & Oscar ('32) [as Flying Crow Blues], Dallas Jamboree Band ('35) [idem], Dusky Dailey ('37) [idem], Washboard Sam ('41) [idem]. Bluesman Lee Semien (alias Ivory Lee King) also sang an As The Crow Flies about that train.
