On their second album Them Again. Jimmy Page was hired as guitarist for these sessions. Coauthor Tommy Scott producing (see footnote). Phil Coulter cowrote Hi Hi Hazel, Puppet On A String and Congratulations. Congratulations indeed.

Van never ever revived this garage classic. Why? Those Tommy Scott songs (there's three of them on Them Again) were contractual obligations but not only that: for some reason Tommy once lost his nerve against Van, throwing him off a staircase or something. Anyhow, Van took it serious, banning Tommy Scott clear out of his system. Even if I Can Only Give You Everything was recut in at least 15 different countries, including Argentina and Singapore.
