In the Egrem Studio in Havana. Carlos Puebla (1917-1989), pioneer of the Latin American political song, became the troubadour of the Cuban revolution with songs like this one. Written when Che Guevara left for Bolivia, where he got killed two years later. Puebla wrote one for Fidel too: Y En Eso Llegó Fidel.
