Cylinder recording, probably by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Roud #266. Broken-token-ballad, released on A Century Of Song ('98). Cecil Sharp collected a version on Joanne Slade from Minehead, Somerset in 1904. Claudy (Clóidich) is a place in County Londonderry, so this ballad may have Irish roots.
