Cylinder recording in Madrid as Sort-Estudio para Guitarra, crediting Spanish guitarist and composer Fernando Sor (1778-1839). But the style does not match with his own. That's why the name Antonio Rubira (1821-1880) pops up as a safer alternative for composing this 'anonymous' guitar piece, identified as Estudio de Don Antonio Rubira or as Conocido por Estudio de Rovira. Favorite parlour piece in Spain and Argentina since the late 19th century. Music publishing company Ricordi from Argentina formally credits Rubira.
