With author Sonny Henry on rhythm guitar, Patato Valdez on congas (pre Santana) and Melvin Lastie on cornet, freshly moved in from New Orleans to San Francisco. Fried Neck Bones was another early days Santana setlist favorite, as witnessed on their earliest recorded Live At The Fillmore 1968, released in '97.
