With Milton Rosenstock's orchestra. Cast as Lorelei Lee in musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Adapted from Anita Loos' bestseller based on her The Lorelei Stories (Sex & The City in the roaring 20s) and first staged in Chicago as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes by herself in 1926, followed by a sequel one year later: But Gentlemen Marry Brunettes. The first film version of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes followed in 1928, with Ruth Taylor as Lorelei Lee, who sure enough married a billionaire soon. In 1949, the stage play was reworked into a musical.
