SPRING CAN REALLY HANG YOU UP THE MOST

Latest update on 29/04/2019

Artist: Jackie & Roy
Author: Fran Landesman/Tommy Wolf
Label: Storyville
Year: 1955

Jackie Cain and her (now deceased) husband Roy Kral were close friends with songwriter Fran Landesman. Was she the 'Jackie Cane' Hooverphonic sings about? Anyway, they introduced the songs Fran cowrote with Tommy Wolf outside their St. Louis turf, in this case with Barney Kessel on guitar, Red Mitchell on bass and Shelly Manne on drums. Fran was inspired by musician's jive talk, as witnessed by this song title.
