Artist: Robert Wilkins
Author: Robert Wilkins
Label: Brunswick
Year: 1929
Pre war Mississippi bluesman with hardly a handful of recordings when he stepped out of the devil's music and into the Church Of God In Christ, before being rediscovered - as so many - in the early sixties. One of his earliest cuts was entitled Rolling Stone, another one That's No Way To Get Along, which became The Prodigal Son on the Stones' Beggars Banquet lp (see there).
Covers:
Not to be confused, neither with Bukka White's Alabama Blues, nor with J.B. Lenoir's, covered by John Mayall.
