Artist: Ferre Grignard
Author: Ferre Grignard/Jef Hermans
Label: Philips
Year: 1966
Covers:
Johnny Hallyday [as Cheveux longs, idées courtes, kind of answer song to long haired Antoine's big hit Les Eculubrations, where he offended Johnny as being a circus act]
Both Ferre and Johnny had Hans Kusters as their Belgian representative. During a Belgian tour, Johnny heard a few songs of Ferre and was particularly interested in My Crucified Jesus. Kusters gave him permission to translate the song but Johnny did more than that: he gave the melody a little twist and signed for the music as well. No royalties for the Ferre who couldn't even claim his own composition as he couldn't read or write music.
