LET'S STICK TOGETHER

Latest update on 15/09/2015

Artist: Wilbert Harrison
Author: Wilbert Harrison
Label: Fury
Year: 1962

Following his world hit Kansas City, scored in '60 for Fire in New York. Wilbert was still under contract with this other New York label Savoy, so Fire had to wait two years before releasing Let's Stick Together. It didn't make any waves. Years later Wilbert tried it again as Let's Work Together for Sue and then it hit. Most later versions follow that one. Only Bryan Ferry seemed to remember the first version.
