On this Laura Nyro epigone' debut album. Written for her by duo Charles Fox (not to be confused with the male part of sister & brother duo Inez & Charlie Fox of Mockingbird fame; this Fox is white) and Norman Gimbel (who translated Tom Jobim bossa novas in English and Toots Thielemans' Bluesette). Gimbel & Fox also co-wrote the Happy Days theme. The young singer who modeled for the "killer" in the song is Don McLean. Lori who attended one of his performances, witnessed how he seemed to "look right through me as if I wasn't there". Don who needs his glasses, leaves them off while performing.
