The song Wilson showed Atlantic A&R man Jerry Wexler, who bought it but passed it over to Solomon Burke. First time Pickett cried in his life. When his next single (It's Too Late) hit, Wexler finally considered seriously to buy Wilson's Double L contract. It's never too late.
