Van never revived this garage classic in his entire solo career. The reason? Those Tommy Scott songs (there's three of them on Them Again) were contractual obligations but not only that: for some reason Tommy once lost his nerve against Van, throwing him off a staircase or something. Anyhow, Van took it serious, banning Tommy Scott clear out of his system. Even if I Can Only Give You Everything was cut in at least 15 different countries, including Argentina and Singapore. The song has its own website.
