Two years later followed with Answer To Driving Nails In My Coffin. Jerry was with The Bar X Cowboys and the Texas Wranglers, two of the best western swing bands in Houston in the thirties. Gulf was the same label Moon Mullican recorded for. They ended up with King in Cincinatti.

"I'm driving nails in my coffin with each bottle of booze". So much guilt means country. Driving Nails was the themesong for Floyd Tillman, Ernest Tubb, Hank Thompson and Asleep At The Wheel.
