Theme of silent film 7th Heaven, where Diane was portrayed by Janet Gaynor. In the silent era, theatres provided live accompaniment on piano, organ or even full orchestra. Coauthor Erno Rapee was musical director of several cinema houses, such as the Capitol and the Roxy in Manhattan.
