On lp Border Spirit as a tribute to local piper Billy Pigg. Northumbrian folk from Newcastle collected in John Stokoe's Songs Of Northern England (1893). Kye is an old plural for cows. Kine in the lyrics also refers to cows. Locally medleys occur with Here's The Tender Coming, which gave its title to The Unthanks' third album.
