Christmas carol and choir classic written as a poem (by Christina Rossetti), published posthumously in 1904. Set to music by Holst in 1906, while he was Director of Music at the St Paul's Girls' School. He wrote this simple tune in Cranham, Gloucestershire and named it that way. Cranham is also where Lily Allen bought a 3 million pound estate recently.
