Not to be confused with hymn Oh Death Where Is Thy Sting by Rev. J.M. Gates from 1926 (reissued on the Harry Smith Collection) using Bible lyrics (Corinthians 15: 55-57). Older versions by Bert Williams (1918) and Arthur Collins (1919). The Indian War Whoop, also from the Smith Collection, did find its way in film O Brother.
