In that same year '34 there was a book by Carl Carmer published under that same name. According to local oral Afro-American tradition, there must have been a real star studded meteor rain over Alabama during the 19th century. It was Ruby Pickens-Tartt, father Lomax' one-time assistent, who informed Carl Carmer.
