Brazilian; about the favelas on the mountains in and around Rio; just like his Calice (Portuguese for Shut Your Mouth), a song against the political regime.

Chico is from Dutch descent. Brazil once was partly ruled by Holland (under Maurits from Nassau in the 17th century), to secure themselves a foothold on South American soil for wood and gold. For slave trade they used the Antilles. Very important indeed since they swapped New York for Suriname with the British (Vrede van Breda - 1665).
