The Decca audition version by The Beatles is the original, but the first released version was by The Fourmost. There was an older version cut by Gerry & The Pacemakers, but that wasn't released until the early nineties. In October '57 a different Hello Little Girl came out in America, by Lloyd Price on KRC, with "I wanna hold your hand" in the lyrics!
