Where the song was written for, with Mamas & Papas on backing vocals. Was supposed to become his third single, follow-up of his world hit Eve Of Destruction. Still, producer Lou Adler opted for the writers' version as the single. This was the first time the Mamas & Papas sang together. Adler instinctly liked what he heard and wiped Barry's vocals, with no remorse. McGuire's version was saved up for his lp This Precious Time.
