In Broadway musical The Sound Of Music, based upon the true story of Maria von Trapp, first shown in a German movie. Became one of the longest running musicals of all times. It was Oscar Hammerstein's last on a total of 35. Mary Martin acted Maria Rainer's part, a nun taking care of the seven children von Trapp. Patricia Neway was the mother superior of the Nonnberg abbey.
