In Brazilian film Orfeo Negro (Marcel Camus), based on Vinicius De Moraes' play Orfeo Do Carnaval ('56). Agostinho lip-synched for main actor Breno Mello (Orfeus). Author Luis Bonfa plays an instrumental version on the soundtrack. Orfeo Negro won that year's Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscar for best foreign film.
