Artist: Valentinos
Author: James Alexander/Zelda Samuels
Label: SAR
Year: 1962

Bobby Womack and his brothers' gospel soul band (see also: It's All Over Now). Lookin' For A Love is the lite, secular version of what they recorded before as I Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray in a pure gospel way (as The Womack Brothers), again for Sar and with Sam Cooke producing (see there). Same melody, different lyrics. Of course they didn't use the Valentinos moniker for their gospel canon.
