Country string family band with the children of Eliza Jackson and former slave Henderson Chatmon. Four members excelled: three brothers, Armenter (Bo) Chatmon (later to record solo as Bo Carter), Sam and Lonnie (the only one who could read music) and cousin Walter Vincent (who renamed himself Walter Jacobs, not to be confused with harmonicaman Little Walter).
