Lula's song cut in February, Little Willie's in June. Chess (Argo) released Lula's soon as they heard Little Willie's version was imminent. Lula knew author Sonny Thompson well; see her duet in '51: I'll Drown In My Tears. Not to be confused, neither with John Gary's Let Them Talk, also from '59, written by Lew Douglas/Harry Carlson/Erwin King, nor with Johnny Preston's Let Them Talk (for Mercury), written by Rick Hall/Tom Stafford and covered by Dan Penn in '64. Finally not to be confused with the Idle Gossip written by Floyd Huddleston/Joseph Meyer, recorded in '54 by Perry Como (n°3 UK), Russ Morgan, Sarah Vaughan and Lita Roza, in '61 by Cliff Richard and in '66 by Adam Faith.
