Artist: Billy Boy Arnold
Author: Billy Boy Arnold
Label: Vee-Jay

Blues singer & harmonica man from Chicago; sidekick of Johnny Temple, Johnny Shines, Otis Rush, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters and Little Walter in the '50s. Billy Boy also sang it as Pleading And Crying for Testament Records.
Covers:
Bo Diddley [as Diddley Daddy (see footnote) with Little Walter on harmonica]
Lil Millet [same guitar groove in Rich Woman; (see there)]
Rolling Stones [as Diddley Daddy]
Yardbirds [with Eric Clapton]
Big Sugar [as Come Back Baby]
Original title: Diddy Diddy Dum Dum. When Leonard Chess heard Billy Boy and Bo Diddley play this, he wanted the song for Bo exclusively. That's when Billy Boy took it to Vee-Jay, where Calvin Carter convinced him to change the lyrics around.
