Irish folk band with members of Tir-na-Nog. Translation (by Frank O'Connor) of the 12th century Sean Nós poem Ta mé Sínte ar do Thuama. Singer Philip King provided the music. The late Diarmuid Ó Súilleabháin from the West Cork Gaeltacht region Cúil Oadha did a version as such for BBC documentary Bringing It All Back Home. Cúil Aodha is the place where the father of the Irish folk revival Seán Ó Riada retired to and where he died.
Covers:
Sinéad O'Connor [on a James Brown beat (see: Funky Drummer)]
Lennon Family [as Ta mé Sínte ar do Thuama]
