New Zealand sea shanty on comp Song Of A Young Country, released in the eponymous folk songbook by Neil Colquhoun. Tommy may have been a relative of R.F. Woods where Colquhoun learned the song from. Wellermen were sailing ships from the Weller Company of Dunedin, NZ. They specialized in providing tobacco, sugar, thee and rum to whalers at sea during the 1830s.
