Tape recording. In 1999 he finally released his only cd (Born Again Strangers) with Nancy Spain and The Crack Was Ninety In The Isle Of Man (also a hit for Christy Moore). The real Nancy Spain was a lesbian English journalist in the 1950s and early '60s. Once rumoured dating Marlèene Dietrich and died tragically along with her soulmate Joan 'Jonny' Werner Laurie in a plane crash in 1964. Noel Coward's obituary: It's cruel that all that gaiety, intelligence and vitality should be snuffed out, when so many bores and horrors are left living. Barney Rushe though just named his song because he liked the name.
