Old wedding song (chanson des oreillers - 15th Century). A popular children song since Adolphe Adam's operette l'Auberge Pleine (1853). International success followed in 1876 when it was the title song of a second operette. The bridge is the Pont Saint Bénézet, build in the 12th century over the Rhône river. Of the initial twenty two arches only four survived.
