| A British music publisher brought this from Japan to England to give it to jazzman Kenny Ball. His instrumental version came out under the more familiar title Sukiyaki, making the British top 10. An American DJ from Washington, probably with a similar radio concept as The Originals, laid hands on the Japanese version and started pushing it. The result: it was released in America under its adopted title in Britain and became a n°1 US. |
